  • RE: Why Social Networking Sites Like Facebook Are Pointless

    Link

lil_squirrel4ever is right in part but also very wrong. When it comes to these networking sites, it all depends on how YOU use them. Personally, they are a way to keep in touch with all of my friends. Even those ones who are just cool to talk to on occasions but aren't so great that you'll necessarily remember them the next time you are feeling down and need a pick-me-up.

With all the different utilities built into Facebook specifically, it is great for organizing parties, sending out mass messages and different kinds of group organizations. Creating a group to have all your party buddies within easy contact and quick location distribution. This is pretty easily done with a mailing list, but then how are you supposed to share all of those hilarious pictures of your friend doing a forward flip over your couch last night?

I am positive there are hundreds more uses than my personal ones, but its all in how you use it.
I'm interested in what other good ideas I might have missed out on, comment what your favorite thing to do is on Facebook, or whatever Social Networking Site you use.

About Me

  • I truly believe that I am different, unlike other people. I want to read about other people, to learn what people are like and what kinds of things run through there mind. Also would love to get comments on what I have to say.
